About Us
Supportive Hands is a small company that supports Organisations, Departments, Relationships, and Individuals in coping with change and emotional literacy development in a targeted and innovative way. Supportive Hands has partnered with Child Trauma Intervention Services in the development of the Emotional Literacy Enhancement Portfolio as we believe that there is a growing need in supporting children, young people, school, and carer development.
Richard Rose (U.K.) is the Director of Child Trauma Intervention Services Ltd (CTIS) which seeks to engage with children affected by early life trauma and to help them achieve their full potential. Richard undertakes consultancy and training on Life Story Therapy and working with ‘hard to reach’ children and adolescents and develops academic training programmes in the UK and internationally.
Supportive Hands are offering the below Emotional Literacy Enhancement Products. These products are designed, built and piloted with children / young people and key stakeholders.
The Wellbeing Program
- Classroom Adaptive Delivery Program and supportive Behavioural Management System (school, classroom, teacher, and student focused).
- The Feeling Tree Program (school, home and student focused).
The Home Attunement program
- The Home Attunement Program and supportive Behavioural Management System (home, carer, parent, child and young people focused).
- Facilitated Mobile device that measures and monitors individual wellbeing.
The Residential and Juvenile Justice Emotional Enhancement Program
- The Residential and Juvenile Justice Emotional Enhancement Program and supportive Behavioural Management System (home, residential, juvenile justice, Carer, child and young people focused).
- The Feeling Tree Program (school, home and student focused).
- Facilitated Mobile device that measures and monitors individual wellbeing.
Therapeutic Needs Assessments
- The SHANARRI and Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW) Assessment tool focuses on understanding the child / young persons therapeutic needs and targeted support requirements (school, home, out of home care, residential and juvenile justice focused).
The theoretical model of this portfolio builds on work of Richard Rose Therapeutic Life Story Work and based on different tools developed to increase children’s Emotional Literacy. The purpose of the above IT programs, is to provide a period of intervention for children in a school setting and/or residential setting. Supporting children (5-12), young people (13-25), parents, carers, and supportive services who are affected by behaviours and other factors which disrupt attachment, education and peer relationships.
